Kleenex New Zealand brings a little fun to the shopping experience
Kleenex New Zealand has partnered with New World, one of Kimberly-Clark’s largest customers in New Zealand, to launch the national consumer promotion Little Kitchen, that embraces the magical world of experiment and learning.
The promotion involves a range of grocery brands, where participating products are created in a miniature version for kids to collect from now until mid-October.
The objective this year is for each participating product to have a recipe or experiment along with the mini version of the product, which will be distributed in store when the shopper makes a purchase of $40 (or more) of groceries during the promotional period. The miniature is wrapped in a sealed bag, so that consumers experience a sense of surprise and delight once they open the bag.
Kimberly-Clark New Zealand has been part of the promotion since it first launched as Little Shop in 2013. This year, Kleenex Aloe Vera facial tissues are our participating product, and in the spirit of experiment and learning, the Kleenex New Zealand created an experiment called ‘travelling water’ that kids can experience at home or at school with Kleenex Tissues.
In addition, the miniature Kleenex Aloe Vera tissue toy has a ‘scratch N sniff’ feature, with an Aloe Vera scent adding further excitement. Every supplier involved in this year’s promotion has some form of special effect, ranging from magnets to glow in the dark.

The experiment has received special recognition from New World as being unique and engaging out of all participating products, and will feature in New World’s PR support around the campaign this year.
The promotion is now live, with more information available on the Little Kitchen site.
FUN FACT! Did you know?
The technology behind Kleenex Facial Tissue helps so many people in their daily lives.
Since then, the technology of the Kleenex Facial Tissue itself has come a long way. Kleenex Facial Tissues with Aloe Vera and Vitamin E are lotion treated tissues which help minimise sore red noses due to repeated tissue use during a cold or flu. Kleenex Facial Tissues are also used for many other reasons like wiping away tears, mopping up small spills or even fun experiments for kids, such as the ‘Travelling Water’ experiment included in the New World Little Kitchen promotion.
